Former President Donald Trump has named Ohio junior Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate, ending months of speculation over who would fill out the Republican Presidential ticket.

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The announcement comes just two days after the former president survived an assassination attempt at his rally in Pennsylvania.
“I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place,” Trump posted on his social media site.He would become the least politically experienced person to be named VP since Spiro Agnew in 1969. Agnew, President Nixon’s VP, served as Governor of Maryland for less than two years before taking the office of Vice President.
