director and executive producer Deborah Chow has addressed the future of the Star Wars series, revealing that franchise vet Ewan McGregor is eager to reprise the titular Jedi master again. Chow shared that McGregor started pitching her ideas for a potential Season 2 right after they wrapped filming the first installment.
“As Ewan and I finished our very last shot on second unit and I was literally taking off my headphones, he was already pitching me ideas for season two,” she recalled. “There’s another 10 years with plenty of stories, and I don’t think it’s off the board. It is a ‘never say never’ situation, but we really did conceive this to be a limited series.
The first installment also welcomed franchise newcomers Moses Ingram , Kumail Nanjiani , Indira Varma , Rupert Friend , O’Shea Jackson Jr. , Sung Kang , Simone Kessell , and Benny Safdie . Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 was set 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, “where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
