Oakland police investigated a run of shootings across the city late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, including a killing in the city’s Chinatown district and several shootings in East Oakland that left five people injured.a day after two men and a woman were fatally shot in East Oakland within a three-hour stretch
No motive has been determined for the shooting, which marks the 17th death investigated as a homicide by Oakland police this year. At this same time last year, police had investigated 16 homicides across the city. A few minutes before midnight, another drive-by shooting left a 54-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in the 8500 block of International Boulevard, Oakland police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in critical condition early Sunday morning.
