The shooting happened at about 10 a.m., and the first deputy arrived 30 seconds after the first 911 call was dispatched, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy found a man and woman, both injured, in a silver sedan. The deputy removed Rogers from the vehicle and attempted to save him. Paramedics then took Rogers to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.A third person showed up at a hospital with gunshot wounds, and sheriff’s detectives are still investigating that patient’s involvement in the shooting.The sheriff’s department said detectives have identified a “person of interest” in the shooting but did not release the person’s name or further details about a potential motive.
Golden Gate Village resident Royce McLemore, said everyone in her household heard the shots. A crowd gathered at the crime scene while the deputy tried to help the victim.“The car was riddled,” she said. McLemore said Rogers was related to a longtime resident in the housing complex and had moved recently to the area.
