'Noticeably colder' weather is coming to the Bay Area, with spots forecast to dip into the 30s.
The sun shone brightly over the San Francisco Bay Area on Wednesday morning, and people out-and-about were wearing T-shirts on a fall day. Don't let the warmth fool you, though: It's going to get chilly tonight, and the cooler overnight temperatures are expected to stick around through the work week. Overnight lows Wednesday into Thursday are forecast to dive down into the low 50s along coast and into the high to low 40s inland, even dropping into 30s in the chilliest spots.
' The cold weather is arriving as a low-pressure system over the Pacific Ocean pushed into the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday. An associated cold front was over far Northern California and will move into the North Bay this afternoon and reach the greater Bay Area by this evening. 'As this cold front passes, it will bring in much colder and drier air,' McCorkle said. 'That's why we'll be getting those much colder lows the next few days.
