The construction of a new $58 million PreK-5 building on the current Birch Primary School property is starting to come together for the North Olmsted City Schools.
During a community meeting last week, the district updated residents with designs of the new facility.
“We showed details to the overall floorplan and the renderings of what the outside of the building will look like and the general layout of the site plan -- just more detailed versions there than we had before.” “Overall, you’ll see a good connection to what people shared with us and that ability to have that small school feel while still being a consolidated elementary school.”Up next for the district is completing the $1.5 million purchase of the 3-acre Motel 6, located north of Birch Primary School property at 24357 Lorain Road. The plan also includes the construction of a new Lorain Road entrance that is currently a three-way intersection with a stoplight at Walter Road.
