Boston College, meanwhile, has advanced to the ACC Championship final for the third time in program history and the first time since 2019. North Carolina advanced to the championship game with a 3-1 win over Syracuse on Wednesday. Charly Bruder scored two first-half goals to give the Tar Heels a lead they would never relinquish.
After a shot by Bruder was blocked, Pleum Lammers buried the rebound 4:23 into the third quarter, giving the Tar Heels a 3-0 advantage.Neither team scored nor had a shot on goal in the first half on Wednesday. After Duke’s Kira Curland scored off a penalty corner in the third quarter, Boston College tied it on a goal by Madelief Grandjean, with assists from Mia Garber and Juliette Hijdra on a penalty corner.
