Chris Snow, assistant general manager for the NHL’s Calgary Flames, has suffered a “catastrophic brain injury,” his wife, Kelsie, said on social media.
“With a shattered heart I’ve come to share that yesterday Chris became unresponsive and went into cardiac arrest,” she said in . “In life, Chris offered his body to a clinical trial to help others. In death he will do the same. He remains on life support while organ donation is arranged. We are so proud of him.”on behalf of the Snow family, which includes the couple’s two children. The fundraiser currently has surpassed $99,000 in donations as of Friday morning, just short of its $100,000 goal.
“Last year when it wasn’t going well, he was texting me. Every day he’s for his life, but he took the time to text me,” Flames star Jonathan Huberdeau said, according toSalim Nadim Valji. “That shows a lot about the person. He dedicated his life to this team. It’s a sad day for us.”
