Accuracy was also an issue for Garoppolo. He missed on several big plays while overthrowing intended receivers. You have to be more accurate and run your receivers open in Kyle Shanahan’s offense. It’s that simple. This is huge. Remember, Richard Sherman was among the least-targeted corners in the NFL last season. That was primarily because teams figured they could pick on Witherspoon. That might not be the case in 2019, and it could lead to more game-changing plays from Sherman moving forward like we saw in Week 1.
