Taylor Heinicke and the Washington Commanders (3-4) look to extend their winning streak to three games when they visit the Indianapolis Colts (3-3-1), who will start Sam Ehlinger at quarterback. Follow along for live updates.
Indianapolis began its latest possession from its own 19-yard line and with running back Jonathan Taylor, who was questionable to return with an ankle injury, in the backfield. A 28-yard run by wide receiver Parris Campbell on an end-around sparked a drive that reached the red zone before Casey Toohill forced a fumble as Jonathan Allen held up Sam Ehlinger. Washington’s Daron Payne recovered at the Commanders’ 22.
Fox sideline reporter Jen Hale reported that Taylor’s right ankle is still bothering him, but he looked just fine on the drive, with two carries for 17 yards.
