Summary Harold and the Purple Crayon has earned Zachary Levi his worst Rotten Tomatoes score in 15 years. Zachary Levi's Rotten Tomatoes Slump Explained Levi Has Hit A Critical Snag Since 2023 In addition to the Harold and the Purple Crayon movie earning his worst score in a decade and a half, it marks a continuation of a significant slump in Levi's recent output. While the star only earned a single Rotten Tomatoes splat between 2010 and 2022, since 2023 he has earned Rotten scores for Spy Kids: Armageddon, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and now his new family movie.
While he has earned Fresh scores for franchise movies including Thor: The Dark World and Chicken Run 2, this recent slump may be a reaction to the fact that his post-Shazam! career has seen casting agents slotting him into different franchises with varying results rather than the largely standalone movies that dominated his run of Fresh titles throughout the 2010s.
