In a report from Pasong Putik Police Station, the suspect for indiscriminate firing was identified as Ferdinand Bagundol, 40, a member of Philippine Coast Guard, a resident of Brgy. Kaligayahan, Quezon City. Recovered from his possession was a caliber .99 pistol, two magazines with seven ammunition, and seven fired cartridge cases.
Torre said this could be attributed to the QCPD’s intensified campaign against illegal firecrackers and pyrotechnics “which resulted in the confiscation of almost a million worth of prohibited firecrackers.”
