A new poll released by the University of Texas at Tyler indicated that Texas voters favor incumbent President Donald Trump for the 2020 presidential election over every single one of his challengers from the Democratic Party.
Poll results for Senator Kamala Harris of California and Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, were even lower compared to Trump. The incumbent president beat both Harris and Buttigieg by about 13 points.
Sanders, on the other hand, was found to have a 27-point lead over Biden among voters between the ages of 18 and 29 and was 20 points ahead of him among Hispanic voters. Besides asking voters who they supported for the president in 2020, the survey also questioned them about Trump's job performance and possible impeachment. According to the press release, Trump's approval among Texas voters has risen since the university's last poll in September, before the impeachment inquiry began.
Further, the poll found that 47 percent of voters did not believe the president should be impeached, 45 percent believed that he should and the remaining 8 percent were unsure.
