PHILIPPINE National Police Chief Benjamin Acorda Jr. has bared his leadership’s five-focused agenda that will guide the police organization toward a more effective and efficient police force.
“The anti-illegal drug operations shall be aggressive against big time drug personalities or high value individuals through our supply reduction efforts while we continue to cooperate and support the Bida program of SILG Atty. Benjamin Abalos Jr. focusing on demand reduction,” he added. President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. earlier said he accepted the courtesy resignation of two senior police officials due to their alleged connection to the illegal activity.
In giving a premium to the morale and welfare of police personnel, the top cop maintained that the reward and punishment system will be quick, impartial and decisive, noting that promotions, assignments and designations will be based on merit, ability and moral ascendancy. “The IMEG together with the directorate for intelligence shall monitor illegal activities committed by our personnel. Internal affairs service shall play a very active role in prosecuting hardheaded personnel who will refuse to toe the line,” he added.
