There were rumors circulating in 2021 about a Nintendo Switch Pro model with 4K capabilities, but these have yet to be confirmed.
The PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S launched at the end of 2020, which prompted speculation that Nintendo would have an upgraded system to compete with them.
