The new NBA Draft rules allowing players to test the waters with an agent and take until May 29 to decide whether to return to campus have complicated matters for college coaches, who still don't know what their rosters for next season will look like.

A year ago, before the rule change, the numbers were roughly similar to this year:

Keatts says he's keeping an eye on the NCAA transfer portal, where there are more than 700 transfers this year, who has kept a detailed transfer list for years. Of that group, more than 125 are graduate transfers, who are eligible to come in and play right away next season. Three of them -- DeAndre Hunter, Ty Jerome and Kyle Guy -- have been invited to the main NBA Combine and plan to remain in the draft, while the fourth, redshirt junior forward Mamadi Diakite was invited to the G League event and plans to test the waters. Only Hunter and Jerome are projected first-round picks.

Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard could lose his star player, Myles Powell, off next year's roster. If so, the Pirates would be considered a mediocre team. Kentucky has three players committed to the draft, while two others, E.J. Montgomery and Nick Richards, are testing the process.
