Mike and Kristen Anderson have opened their first brick-and-mortar restaurant, the Montgomery Grove, after running two successful food trucks in Conroe.

Owners Mike and Kristen Anderson have been in the industry since 2007, when they built their first food truck, “Whiches on Wheels,” which they operated part-time in downtown Conroe.Mike and Kristen Anderson knew they wanted to open their own restaurant after running two successful food trucks in Conroe.
The food follows the theme of the Andersons' pizza food truck — wood-fired and Texas-inspired. From burgers to tacos, the owners tend to experiment with the menu while using Texas-based spices. "I've always just loved food, I loved to cook," he said."When I get stressed, I go home and I want to cook."
Mike Anderson put his food dreams on hold while he served in the ministry as a youth pastor. He then came back to the food business and opened a second food truck called Dizzy Pies. The Andersons operated both food trucks at Deacon Baldy's, on FM 1488 in Magnolia.
