SuperDish, Umai Savory Hot Dogs and Popeyes join Oakridge mall
. One is a separate restaurant and two have joined the food court lineup. And all three have spicy offerings.The owners of the Noodle Talk restaurants have expanded with a chic minimalist space to showcase their Hunan and Szechuan specialties — many so hot that one customer has already branded them “spicy on steroids.” Among the top sellers are the Deep-Fried Chicken with Peppers and Peanuts, Mongolian Beef and Boiled Snakehead Fish Filet with Hot Chile.
Menu:This locally based favorite started with fusion hot dogs — the Honolulu Bang Bang, for example, dresses a Polish sausage with glazed pineapple bits, applewood-smoked bacon bits, red diced onions and teriyaki-hoisin sauce — but now offers burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings and more. Owner Dat Thieu, the creative mind behind the menu expansion, says the popular orders include the deep-fried Korean-style Mozzarella Cheese Sticks and the Kyoto Fire and Bulgogi dogs.
