“Boop! The Betty Boop Musical,” the new show scheduled for a pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago later this fall, has cast its Betty Boop. The lead role of the vampish heroine will be played by Jasmine Amy Rogers. Most recently, Rogers has been touring in the “Mean Girls” musical and will make her Broadway debut once the show moves, as expected, to New York.Here, “Boop! The Betty Boop Musical” is first slated to play from Nov. 19 to Dec. 24 at Broadway in Chicago’s CIBC Theatre, 18 W. Monroe St. The rest of the casting has yet to be announced.
