The Rockets gave chase, they rallied to another fourth-quarter chance. But with too much Kyrie Irving and too little shooting around Kevin Porter Jr., and Jalen Green, the Rockets could not make their comeback last, falling to the Nets, 118-105, for their fifth consecutive loss with two games remaining.
Still, in a season with little else to gain, there were lessons to be learned, most of all in the Rockets’ determination to not play as if in awe of the name brands on the other end of the floor.
