Netflix is hiring a game director for one of its new studios that is seemingly developing a AAA PC title, according to a new listing.
“We’re looking for a creative and highly-skilled Game Director to help us forge the game direction and creative vision on a brand-new AAA PC game,” says the listing. “As Game Director, you will be the creative leader of one of Netflix’s first generation of internally developed original games.”This is notable in that Netflix has typically only released games on the mobile platform and this specifically calls out the PC.
It also seems as though Netflix would potentially be looking to put this world into a film or TV series. The job post is asking for candidates that will be able to make characters and a narrative that are “worthy of a Netflix film/TV series.” This director would also have to “help with expansion of the IP into other media.”
