Sixteen people have now reportedly died due to the combined effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and Typhoon Egay, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Sunday.

NDRRMC’s latest situational report showed that 11 of the reported fatalities came from the Cordillera Administrative Region , two each from Calabarzon and Western Visayas, and one from Ilocos Region.
