We talked about it a couple months ago, NCIS is a cornerstone of our schedule. The actors love doing it, and the writers continue to fire on all cylinders. As far as the future, we’re thrilled to have them on the air and they want to keep doing it, so we’re going to keep doing it... It’s still only March, and we haven’t made all of our deals and decision-making so it’s a little early to officially confirm anything.
The fact that Los Angeles and New Orleans were both recently cancelled despite long runs may mean that the current shows could be more on the bubble than they might seem. This is especially the case because there are quite a few shows in the franchise that are already set for the 2024-2025 season, including Sydney season 2, the prequel show Origins, and a Tony and Ziva spinoff. With so many shows on the docket, there may not be room in the schedule for both NCIS and Hawaii to return.
