Scott Foster, known to NBA fans as “The Extender,” will work his 15th NBA Finals series.
The NBA announced a pool of 12 officials Wednesday who will work the finals series between the Warriors and Celtics.
The officials were selected by the NBA Referee Operations management team based on their performance during the first three rounds of the playoffs. “Just as the goal of our players is to reach the postseason finale, the same is true of our officials,” NBA president of league operations Byron Spruell said in a press release. “We appreciate this group’s outstanding work during the playoffs and congratulate them on being selected to officiate in the NBA Finals.”
The officials are Tony Brothers , James Capers , Marc Davis , Kane Fitzgerald , Scott Foster , John Goble , David Guthrie , Courtney Kirkland , Eric Lewis , Josh Tiven , James Williams and Zach Zarba . The crews for each game are not yet known as the league will announce assignments at 6 a.m. PT on game days.
