On Thursday, Feb. 2, Navotas City Mayor John Reynald 'John Rey' Tiangco said the city government supports the single ticketing system for traffic or road violations that will soon be implemented in all LGUs in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Navotas City Mayor John Reynald “John Rey” Tiangco said on Thursday, Feb. 2, that the city government supports the single ticketing system for traffic or road violations that will soon be implemented in all the local government units in the National Capital Region .

According to the MMDA, the traffic code provides a system for interconnectivity among government instrumentalities involved in transport and traffic management and “harmonize the existing national and local laws on traffic enforcement” in the region. It will standardize the fine and penalties committed by motorists while on the roads of NCR.

“We fully support the single ticketing system. Having a uniform policy on traffic violations will benefit our driving public, preventing confusion on the amount to be paid and easing payment of penalties,” Tiangco said in a statement on Thursday. “Our Sanggunian is already preparing to pass an ordinance to adopt the Metro Manila Traffic Code,” the Navotas City mayor said.
