Native American Students host benefit Powwow March 11

Admission is free and the event is from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.. Free parking is available. Arlington Mayor Jim Ross is among the guest speakers scheduled for 6 p.m.

The powwow brings together Native American relatives and friends to dance, sing, laugh and celebrate their heritages. The event offers non-Natives educational and cultural experiences. Dance contests include men’s and women’s traditional and fancy, men’s grass and women’s jungle dress dances, and a tiny tots dance.Pets are prohibited, but service dogs are welcome.
