Briscoe will get his chance to race against Formula 1 champions Kimi Raikkonen, Jenson Button at COTA in April.
prepared by Stewart-Haas Racing, while Raikkonen is making his second appearance in Trackhouse Racing’s Project 91.
Briscoe is anxious to see how Button prepares for a race and believes he will “bring a lot to the table” on the road course side “as far as things to look for and maximize.”“Last year, I kind of did that in a driver swap with Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen,” Briscoe said. “They only ran like five laps a piece at the Roval. They were within a second of what I was running at pretty much 100%.”
Even though Briscoe has raced Sprint Cars and Midgets, he’s never competed on a road course in an open-wheel car and that’s on his bucket list.
