Eight winning teams located across the globe have been awarded $750,000 in prizes as a part of NASA and the Canadian Space Agency's Deep Space Food Challenge.
Four volunteers will live in NASA's Mars habitat for one year, helping the space center collect data for its first mission to the planet in outer space.The winning teams will move on to compete in the third and final phase of the agency's challenge.
