Arestado ang isang lalaki sa Pasig City matapos umanong patayin ang sarili nitong ina dahil sa away sa pera, ayon sa ulat ng Unang Balita nitong Lunes.
Nakita ang bangkay ni Ma. Elena Estella Villastique sa loob ng isang storage box sa Norzagaray, Bulacan. Nadiskubre ito matapos daw may magsumbong sa pulisya tungkol sa masangsang na amoy na nanggagaling sa lugar.
Ayon sa National Bureau of Investigation , nagkainitan ang biktima at ang anak niyang si Raymond matapos niyang pagbintangan ito ng pagnanakaw ng pera.Nang mapagtantong patay na ang ina, binalot daw ni Raymond ang bangkay nito sa kumot at plastic at pagkatapos ay isiniksik ito sa storage box.Ini-report ng mga kaanak na nawawala si Ma. Elena nang hindi siya pumasok sa negosyo niyang canteen.
Tumestigo naman sa NBI ang menor na edad na anak ng suspek na nakita niyang pinatay ng kaniyang ama ang kaniyang lola. Naaresto naman ang suspek matapos magsumbong sa otoridad ang isang kaanak na nakita niya ito sa isang mall. Umamin sa krimen ang suspek at itinuro kung saan niya itinapon ang bangkay ng kaniyang nanay. Pero aniya, walang kinalaman sa pera ang krimen.
