The city will also establish the Plainfield Fire Disaster Recovery Fund, which will collect donations from residents and businesses.

“Plainfield is not a community that overlooks its neighbors in their time of need,” the mayor said. “Opening a small business is a large feat. It can take years of savings, labor, sweat, and tears. We are devastated for these owners facing the daunting task of rebuilding.
