The forest camp sets in motion a massive change.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT My Hero Academia's Forest Training Camp arc introduces loads of new villains who quickly prove their worthiness as opponents, and happens to feature one of the most tense fights in the series. The arc shows how the public's faith in heroes to protect them is beginning to erode, and the villains actually manage to score a big win, dealing a blow to hero morale.
Muscular Vs. Deku is One of My Hero Academia's Best Fights Close The absolute highlight of this arc is the battle between Deku and the villain Muscular, who wields a power-enhancing Quirk much like One for All. It's Deku's first time going up against someone who can dish out damage the same way he does, and Muscular has an incredible size advantage over Deku as well, putting him at a severe disadvantage.
The Forest Training Camp Once Again Shares the Spotlight Deku isn't the only one who gets a chance to shine, however. In fact, Deku is so beaten up after his fight with Muscular that he can't really do anything else, giving the other students their turn in the spotlight. Stand-outs include Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, which is rampaging through the woods in the darkness, Bakugo and Todoroki vs. Moonfish, Uraraka vs.
Toga also makes a strong first impression, showcasing the deranged bloodlust mixed with romantic feelings that would come to define the character. Toga immediately compares herself to Uraraka, intrinsically linking the two characters in a way that would persist throughout the rest of the series. Mr. Compress's flair for showmanship ultimately steals the scene, especially as he's the one who is most responsible for taking Bakugo captive.
