Hawks and Mirko stand out from the other Top Heroes.
The world of My Hero Academia is said to have a lot of different hero schools aside from UA, but fans wouldn't know it by looking at the noteworthy pro heroes in the series. In fact, there are only two pro heroes who are known to have not attended UA, and one didn't go to hero school at all.

Various other heroes, like Eraser Head, Midnight, Endeavor, and Edgeshot are also known to have attended UA.
Hawks and Mirko Stand Out For Their Paths to Heroics In the spinoff/prequel series My Hero Academia Vigilantes, Mirko makes an appearance while still in high school. She's shown to be wearing a different uniform from UA's, and is said to be a third-year student at a hero school in Hiroshima.
Hawks, however, is a completely different story. Recruited as a child by the Hero Public Safety Commission directly, Hawks never attended a hero school, instead being trained by the agency to act as one of their enforcers. That's the same agency that Lady Nagant once worked for, and Hawks was her successor in the role that eventually drove her to villainy.
UA High Produces The Best Pros In My Hero Academia While it's likely that there are other noteworthy pros who didn't attend UA, Hawks and Mirko represent the only known cases. Even other hero schools which play a big role in the series, like Ketsubutsu Academy or Shiketsu, don't have any known alumni, which is especially shocking in Shiketsu's case, as the school is said to be nearly as prestigious as UA.
