A 14-year-old Burien boy is being charged with murder in the deadly shooting of a man outside a Renton convenience store last Wednesday and for a second homicide in which a young man was killed in October.
The boy, who is only two weeks from his 15th birthday, is being charged with first-degree and second-degree murder and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm in the second degree, according to court documents.
Investigators said they were quickly able to identify the suspect, a passenger in a black SUV that left the scene before officers arrived. The second homicide occurred in October in the 4300 block of Northeast Fourth Street in the Safeway parking lot. A man was found dead between a pair of parked cars.
In that shooting, Valladolid was reportedly loading groceries into his vehicle when the teen suspect, who was being driven around in a minivan by his girlfriend’s mother, drove toward the victim’s car, stopped in front of it and yelled, “What the #*@! you looking at?” according to court records.
