Survivors were brought to a local school for triage, Goulet told The Daily Beast. He said there appeared to be dozens of people waiting to be checked out by medical staff. Teresa Snow, a spokeswoman for MU Health, told The Daily Beast that the facility had received three patients who were injured in the crash.. “It’s a terrible situation. I do know that several cars have been derailed. We do believe there could be some fatalities, but again, it’s way early on in getting information.”
The derailment marks the second serious accident involving Amtrak in the past two days.
