The Cuyahoga County Board of Health is warning residents about an mpox outbreak.
Published: Apr. 25, 2024 at 9:54 AM EDTCUYAHOGA COUNTY, Ohio - The Cuyahoga County Board of Health is warning residents about an mpox, previously known as monkeypox, outbreak.
The cases range in age from 17- to 44-years-old. The Board of Health says two of the cases identified each other as contacts and are considered a cluster in the outbreak. County officials say those who believe they may have been directly exposed to mpox are advised to get tested as soon as possible. The board identifies the at-risk community as members of the LGBTQ+.
