The Philippine Coast Guard said at least 6,000 passengers and 800 rolling cargoes were stranded on Sunday due to Tropical Storm Aghon ."The PCG monitored 6,338 passengers, truck drivers, and cargo helpers, 26 vessels, 14 motorbancas, and 875 rolling cargoes STRANDED, while 76 vessels and 21 motorbancas TAKING SHELTER in Northeastern Mindanao, Bicol, Eastern Visayas, and Southern Tagalog regions due to # Aghon PH," the PCG said in its advisory.Those stranded from 12 a.m. to 4 a.m.

Meanwhile, passengers stranded at Hagnaya Port in San Remegio, Northern Cebu were brought to San Remegio Sports Complex on Friday, according to GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak. They were headed to Bantayan Island and Masbate and were stranded since Friday, May 24.The local government of San Remegio provided materials and food for those stranded.Trucks meanwhile remained parked along the road to Hagnaya Port, waiting for the canceled trips to be cleared.
