More than 3,000 commuters have availed of the “Libreng Sakay” program or free rides in Malabon City during the first day of the week-long transportation strike on Monday, March 6.

“Bilang tugon sa tigil pasada ng mga pampasaherong jeep, tuloy-tuloy ang Libreng Sakay na handog ng lokal na pamahalaan para sa mga commuters sa Malabon ,” the local government said in a Facebook post.

Free rides will continue until March 12, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., to ensure the convenience and safety of the commuters in the city.
