Alexis Alexander crosses the street in the rain to go to work at the Grand Hyatt on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, inside of Terminal D at DFW Airport. The weather pattern remains relatively unchanged in North Texas. This means another chance for spotty showers and thunderstorms will be possible at virtually any point today. Some storms could produce some brief gusty winds.

Otherwise, it will be mostly sunny, warm and humid. There’s another Air Quality Alert in effect for unhealthy ozone levels. For this reason, it may be wise to limit your time outside if you have respiratory issues. Aside from the rain chances, the days will be very warm and muggy with highs in the lower 90s through Thursday. Friday through the weekend could have highs in the mid-90s.

Looking ahead, the summer heat is expected to build, especially by next week with highs in the middle to upper 90s coming our way. Some spots may even hit 100.
