THE Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) reported an increase in the number of regions affected by African swine fever (ASF) — from five in January 2023 to seven in February.
The bureau said that an outbreak of ASF was recorded in 12 provinces and 42 municipalities this month.Areas affected by the ASF include Regions 2 , 3 , 5 , 6 , 8 , 9 , and 13 .In January the affected regions were Regions 1 , 3, 4A , 6, and 8.Among the provinces affected by the ASF are Cagayan, Aurora, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Camarines Sur, Iloilo, Northern Samar, Zamboanga del Norte, Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Norte.
