More victims of an alleged real estate scam trooped to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Cavite provincial field unit office to file complaints.
According to Emil Sumangil’s Friday “24 Oras” report, the victims filed complaints against the Dahum Builders real estate company which they alleged did not turn over lots to the investors even if they were fully paid.
The CIDG said the complainants bought lots in different subdivisions in Cavite and Tagaytay City from the company. Complainant Margie Laher said she bought a lot from the company as part of her retirement plan and paid it with the help of her child who is an OFW nurse in Saudi Arabia.Another complainant Glendelyn De Leon said she did not know how to recover the money that her child, who is a factory worker in Taiwan, paid to the company.
This was also the problem of complainant Perla Loyola because her child, who is in London, was also worrying about the situation.Complainant Maricel Capistrano said the lot that she bought was supposed to be for her two children.
