Recently shared on social media via Instagram, Dustin Nguyen is a veteran industry artist that has worked on more than his fair share of high-profile characters — most notably his popular runs drawing The Dark Knight himself — while also collaborating with writer Jeff Lemire for Image Comics’ critically acclaimed Descender, Ascender, and Little Monsters series.

Using Moon Knight’s costume design as a base, Dustin first makes sure that all the visual accents that make his costume pop are present and accounted for. Giving Moon Knight a long white cape, his usual hood, a moon chest emblem, and a single crescent-shaped throwing blade, Dustin takes things a step further by adding in some choice Nightwing-esque costume details that bring this design full circle.
Best of all, Dustin crowns this Marvel/DC hybrid as “Moonwing,” officially giving both companies a reason to revive their Amalgam Universe if only to see this design become canon.
