Santa Rosa police said the incident today began when a student reported around 10:45 a.m. that they saw another student displaying a firearm in their waistband. The lockdown was lifted at 1 p.m.
Police said that today was described as "senior assassin day" at the school in which students bring water guns to campus that are used to "eliminate" other people playing the game. "These kinds of ‘games’ on school campuses are troubling because students are bringing perceived handguns on campus and targeting other students, teachers, and administrators," police said in a statement.
