Lakeisha White testified in a court hearing her son was in school in New Jersey the day of the Williamsport crime.
WILLIAMSPORT – The mother of one of the two teenagers accused of attempted homicide in a Williamsport shooting has been charged with perjury for allegedly lying as to her son’s whereabouts the day of the incident.
The teen and Nazier Jihad Thrower, 17, of Williamsport, are charged as adults with attempted homicide and related counts from the Sept. 12 shooting that occurred about 3 a.m. in the city’s west end. City police Agent Benjamin Hitesman testified at the teen’s preliminary hearing that a check with Pennsauken school officials revealed he was not in school Sept. 12 or 13 and that his mother had withdrawn him from high school there.
Juvenile probation officer Ty Kanouff said he recognized White from the videos that showed two males going to and leaving the area of the shooting. He held him for court on counts of recklessly endangering another person, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and illegal possession of a firearm because of his age.
