The proposed new district lines for Mobile following the annexation of nearly 20,000 citizens into the city.Mobile City Council will consider new district lines after the annexation vote in July that made Mobile the second largest city in Alabama.
The annexation vote resulted in 19,789 new residents, pushing Mobile’s population to over 206,000 residents, according to the city.The city council will introduce the ordinance containing the new map at the Oct. 10 meeting at 10:30 a.m. in Government Plaza Auditorium on the first floor.
