It has been confirmed that Dwayne Johnson will perform another song as Maui in Walt Disney's Moana 2, which releases in November.
Moana 2 will be released in United States theaters this coming November. The animated movie will see Johnson reprise his role as Maui, while Auli’i Cravalho also returns to voice, songwriters Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear confirmed that Johnson performs another song in Moana 2 after his breakout hit, “You’re Welcome,” in the first Moana movie.
Bear added, “Because we were waiting to hear what his first thoughts were. And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, what is he going to say?’”Barlow and Bear said that, luckily, Johnson was a fan of the song, to the point where it gave him chills. Bear commented, “It is a really fun song, but there’s a lot of words, and Maui and Dwayne really stepped up to the challenge.”
