MANILA, Philippines — The 2022 Metro Manila Film Festival has reached its P500 million target in gross sales, said the Metro Manila Development Authority on Monday.
“We are delighted to announce that we were able to reach our target gross sales amounting to P500 million, considering that we are still recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic,” MMDA chief and MMFF overall chairman Romando Artes said in a statement.The MMFF featured eight films in cinemas nationwide which was slated to run originally from Dec. 25 to Jan. 7, 2023. The MMDA earlier announced that it had been extended until Jan. 13.
