The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is taking steps to reduce the risk of flooding in the National Capital Region during the rainy season.
“With the help of the trash trap, the trash does not reach the pumping station which could cause damage to the facility,” Artes said. The agency urged the public to participate in promoting proper waste management to minimize garbage and reduce the occurrence of flooding in the metropolis.
