The MMDA said 14 buses will be dispatched to some parts of Metro Manila to provide free transportation to commuters amid the ongoing weeklong transport strike.
The buses will be deployed during rush hour from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the following routes:EDSA Roxas Boulevard southbound going to FTIBased on the latest monitoring of the MMDA, main streets in Metro Manila returned to normal after reports that public utility vehicles joined the strike on Tuesday morning.
The weeklong transport strike led by PUV drivers and operators opposing the government’s planned traditional jeepney phaseout started Monday, March 6.
