The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority resumed its clean-up drive, this time in San Isidro Village, Paranaque City, as part of its “Bayanihan sa Barangay” project aimed to reduce waste and promote cleanliness in the area.
The MMDA staff, along with village officials and volunteers, conducted various activities including drainage declogging, anti-dengue misting, sidewalk clearing, and adjustment of pavement markings, and placing traffic signages in the area. The event also featured the Mobile Materials Recovery Facility, where participants could exchange recyclable trash for groceries as part of the “Recyclables Mo, Palit Grocery Ko” project.About 270 kilos of materials were collected, while the grocery items distributed in exchange for the recyclables amounted to P1,922.
