The latest on New York Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson and his back and forth with the Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson.
Donaldson, who is appealing the suspension, won’t play in Monday’s game because the Yankees placed him on theinjured list. While the 36-year-old hasn’t tested positive for the virus, he’s been showing symptoms.

Donaldson said he called Anderson “Jackie” because Anderson had called himself the modern day Jackie Robinson in his charge to break the “fun barrier” in baseball in a 2019 Sports Illustrated article. Robinson broke the sport’s color barrier and is an American civil rights icon.each called Donaldson’s comment racist, Donaldson said it was an inside joke, and that he had called Anderson “Jackie” in the past without incident.
